dearest dear,
i wonder if there's
a snake that's
living in between
your skin and bones, and whether
or not you are what
you appear.
am i just another
meal for your
hungry eyes,
something consumed and
forgotten
soon after?
will the remnants of
me linger
momentarily as
an accomplishment for the
world to see and know?
